Ezcaray
MANTAS EZCARAY is the legacy of Cecilio Valgañón, who first came across Mohair garments while walking through Madrid in the 1930s and took the idea back to his uncle’s old manual workshop in Ezcaray.
Using only high-quality materials and painstaking processes, Cecilio’s children created unique, high-quality blankets. Now, almost a century later, Cecilio’s grandchildren have joined the firm with the aim of continuing the work of their parents and the dream of their grandfather.

MANTAS EZCARAY was founded in 1930 by
Cecilio Valgañon who transformed the hand loom processes of turning woolen cloth into handkerchiefs, scarves, shawls & blankets.
Our master craftsmen use only the best natural fibers (Mohair… Etc) painstakingly turning them with traditional skills into the finest finished products.
