Your current state of Altitude?
I’ve been living in Cels, 1000Mt altitude, for 8 years.
Your current state of mind?
Humility, being open to learn. It’s a never ending need.
Your favourite way to spend time in the mountains?
I spend most of the time in the woods, collecting wild herbs, exploring remote areas and solo climbing. Besides exploring the wastelands, carving takes most of my time. I love to bivouac, it’s my way to find contact with the space around me and, always respecting my surroundings, to expand what in the old days might have been called “pioneering” knowledge. When the spare time and my body allow me to, I like to mark new climbing walls: always solo, during the last years I opened a few new ones in Cels. Nothing extreme, the rock requires attention, respecting the clean climbing ethic.
A mountain object that inspires you?
Knife and hatchet. The two tools that I daily use and transports me to another era.

A secret spot from Rocciamelone…
Do you believe in Magic?
I don’t know if I do, but I do respect the energy that comes from some specific spaces. Around here there are a few and when I visit them I must admit that I hear something, I don’t know how to call it…
Would you share a dream with us?
I don’t have a particular dream, I’ve always tried to reach what fascinated me the most and more or less I’m making it. If I have to say one, it would be exploring the wildness of North Europe, maybe Finland.
Where do you feel at home?
In the woods, better alone
Your preferred mountain food?
Without a doubt, potatoes, in any form they come

Autumn and Winter

To hike in the Appennino, to play in the wood with some friends, the first climbing routes in Apuane…

Climbing mountains, going up as fast as I can and going as high as I can, getting to a place to sit and over look it all.

Off path as much as possible, getting a little lost and finding my way again. Seeing the magic where no one goes.

Sewing medicine bags with my Mammasita for craft & holiday fairs.

I dream of a land with mountains to climb, water to drink & swim in, surrounded by people I love and I’m inspired by. Creating our dreams and sharing them with the world

Sitting by the pool with a drink
Your favourite way to spend time in the mountains?
In winter – inside a hut with a Germknödel. In summer outside the hut with a Germknödel
Your favourite season in the mountains?
Without exception – all of them!
A hiking route that inspires you?
My first hiking trip to the mountains with my kids when they were really small around Spitzingsee. We got lost and the owner of the hut with the greatest Germknödel drove us down in a spectacular way.
A mountain object that inspires you?
I can’t think of an object that inspires me. Mountain itself are inspiring. But I definitely can think of an object that reliefs me… the hiking signs! As long as I see one, I know that I am on the right path.
Your favourite view from above?
Ein Gedi, Israel – to stand on the highest „mountain“ at the lowest place on earth – surrounded by natural waterfalls looking down to the desert and Dead Sea is definitely my happy place.
Do you believe in Magic?
With my heart and brain!
A memory from childhood?
The first time in my life where I saw snow as a 5 year old at the Hermon Mountain, Israel. My brothers and I filled up a big bag with snow to take back home… 2,5h drive later and increase of 15 degrees Celsius we experienced another miracle.
Would you share a dream with us?
I don’t remember my sleepy dreams unfortunately and whatever I dream in awareness I try to fulfill.
Where do you feel at home?
Wherever my kids are
